The Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach is far Superior to anything I could have imagined.

It was another day for playing. First we all got together for a rousing game of miniature golf and a walk through the lobby of the Barcelo Maya Caribe Beach.

We spent the day playing and wandering and swimming. We ate and snorkled, relaxed in hammocks and played with our blow up float.

There were friendly smiling faces on the staff who were always around but never intrusive.

The gardeners were singing songs from below the balcony. It was beautiful.

I had my picture taken with PONCHO the Iguana

We explored the shops and walked to the beach I bought a whole whack of post cards. We spent the day on the beach.

Then we enjoyed a nice dinner at the Santa Fe restaurant. As I was asking for a seat by the window, I noticed that the other couple from the bus was here. We all sat together and chatted over dinner. I was still full and had only salad and a bite of the chicken. The food was great, but my body couldn’t sustain that amount of eating.

We met up at Captain Morgan’s for a few drinks that night. I drank the blue ones. We danced and had a great time. Then we all wandered along the beach under a full moon, back to our rooms, of course I had to take pictures of the full moon and the ocean so lit by the moonlight. The beach was so white it was like warm snow reflecting moon shadows and lighting the way. Barefoot, long wispy, white skirt and hair loose in the sea breeze, I probably looked like the ghost of a captive bride waiting the return of her pirate lover. Singing ‘Moonshadow’ and dancing quietly in the dark, I returned to the room and blissful slumber.
