I was born in Los Angeles California, we moved to Canada when I was still a child. At almost 8 years
old, we went from LA to a very small town in Niagara. It was kind of neat to be the only kid from somewhere else. It made
me unique. Suddenly I had family all over the place. Cousins, and Aunts and Uncles lived all over town. We rode our bikes
everywhere and had adventures. In my town, we spent our summers playing outside in fields and in woods. We were called home
for lunch and dinner and had to be home when the lights came on.
We travelled alot while I was growing up. Usually camping our way across Noth America, but we did
stay in Bed and Breakfasts while travelling to Britain and France. I am very lucky my Mother was such a traveller.
In my teens we lived on a farm. Lots of horses, lots of work, unlimited reward for feeling satisfaction
mixed with exhaustion some days. We had 58 acres at our disposal, 2 quarries, a go cart track, and camping. We used to play
hide and seek on horseback, in the woods, at dusk and go for a dip in the quarry with friends in the moonlight. There was
a big campground just up the road. We rode horses everywhere and had all kinds of adventures.
As an adult I still love adventures. There are so many things I want to try. Kayaking is
finally off my to do list.
I am a Scuba Diver!!!!! Diving is one of my passions in life, and even when it
wasn't possible to actually do any diving, I created web pages and explored dive sites for future dives. I'll dive whenever
possible.
I dive year round. This picture (left) was taken after my very first dive. Yes that is snow on the
ground. The water was 33 degrees farenheit, (about 1 Celcius) The air was 22 degrees farenheit and as soon as you got out
everything on you froze including your hair. It was December '95.

Flying over Welland |
That's me Sept 10, 2005. I went Gliding with my daughter. It was amazing. I had the opportunity to
take the controls for a while. It was a stick. Anyone who has ever played a flying video game with me, knows I can't fly a
stick. I did ok and asked to turn the controls back over to the pilot. I just loved looking around. I was able to sit in the
front seat for the first flight and the backseat for the second one. That was wonderful and I'd like to thank the Fort Erie
Air Cadets for making that possible.
I really enjoy going for bike rides which often last the entire day.
I have roller-blades and the Niagara Parkway has paved paths for biking and blading.
I have an extreme fondness for Tim Horton's Coffee, and for peppermint tea.
I have an Honours Degree in Health, and live and advocate a Healthy Lifestyle. I have given seminars
and taught such Health Promotion concepts as Stress Reduction, Health In Pregnancy, and Meditation, as well as nutrition and
the benefits of physical activity.
66 km on my bike and still, I climbed a tree. |
